The special report A greener shade of grey: Renewable energy in China. The report examines China’s progress across renewable energy sources and our outlook for each in terms of opportunities and challenges.
We project that China’s share of renewable energy and nuclear power will rise from 13% in 2010 to over 16% by 2020, roughly equivalent to Canada’s total energy consumption, although 35% more coal will also be burnt during this period.
